Do you want Doug DeMuro to buy the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ? The car with an engine so powerful it “systematically broke everything behind it (including 2 Quaife straight cut gearboxes)”? The car that’s better at coming at you sideways than a velociraptor?

When Doug asks what car he should buy next, let him know you’re on team Death By Volvo. For a brighter, noisier, twitchier future.

I think he should totally get it. And even though it breaks lots of parts, it’s probably better than his Range Rover.

Doug should buy a LaForza. To haul said Volvo. Then buy Volvo. Then....uhh rally cross Doug!

Yes it will probably be more reliable than his range rover will ever be.

I’ve long thought he should have gotten some kind of uber powerful racecar.

I’m totally on board! Then you need to get Doug to a rally and co-drive for him.

I love Doug’s writing. But he doesn’t strike me as the right driver for that Volvo. I mean, no offense to him personally, but you gotta be mostly fearless and a little crazy. He’s funny, but I’m not sure he’s fearless or crazy.

Note: nor am I!

Is there any other way? I think not.

haha, just seeing the way you reacted to taking the Hummer off-road, (more like careful deliberation than reckless abandon) it doesn’t seem like you’re the type to embrace the expression, “when in doubt, flat out!” I might embrace the expression, but only from behind the wheel of my 184hp, 3700lb AWD wagon. Which isn’t saying much.

But you are in a unique position to acquire such a car and you would then be required by law to take it rallycrossing, or up to Team Oneil rally school or something (or all of those things). Because I’d love to watch and read about it from your perspective. So... yeah I’ll vote that you get it anyway. Just imagine the looks it would get in Philly.
